Guest Lecture on Empowering Hoteliers through Skills, Entrepreneurship, and Overseas Education

 

The Hospitality Club of Uttaranchal School of Hotel & Hospitality Management (USHHM) at Uttaranchal University successfully hosted a guest lecture event on August 24, 2023. The event featured Mr. Devinder Kumar Mallick, the Director of Capstone Education Overseas, Mumbai, Maharashtra, who shared his insights on "Beyond Borders: Empowering Hoteliers through Skills, Entrepreneurship, and Overseas Education." 
 
Mr. Mallick's extensive experience in the education consulting and overseas education sectors brought a wealth of knowledge to the event. The lecture commenced at 12:00 PM in the UIPS Seminar Hall, with students, faculty, and hospitality enthusiasts eagerly participating in the engaging session. Mr. Devinder Kumar Mallick captivated the audience with his dynamic presentation style and deep understanding of the hospitality field. 

The event was organized by the Hospitality Club at USHHM, embodying the theme of "Embrace, Excel, Elevate." Mr. Surendra Singh Bhakuni, Assistant Professor at USHHM, served as the Event Coordinator, ensuring the smooth execution of the lecture. 
 
Mr. Mallick highlighted the following key points during the lecture 

1. The hospitality industry's rapid expansion and the need for multi-faceted education to meet its demands. 
2. The significance of practical skills in complementing theoretical knowledge. 
3. Fostering an entrepreneurial mindset to navigate the competitive hospitality landscape. 
4. Exploring overseas education opportunities to gain a global perspective and enhance career prospects. 

The lecture was followed by an interactive Q&A session, during which attendees had the opportunity to seek further insights from Mr. Mallick. The event concluded at 01:00 PM by vote of thanks by Mr. Manish Badoni Principal USHHM focusing on the opportunities available for Hotel Management students abroad, leaving participants inspired and equipped with valuable takeaways for their academic and professional journeys.
