A trip to a tourist destination is essential for the students to learn about India's rich heritage, culture, architecture, etc. The Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University organizes a tourist destination trip for its students every year. In the year 2023, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University organized a trip to Manali, Rohtang Pass and Chandigarh for the students from 28, March to 2, April, 2023. The trip also emphasized upon imparting a practical exposure to students through visits to the industrial establishments. Students from UG and PG courses participated in the trip and were accompanied by faculty members Mr. Anil Singh Chauhan, Mr. Farman Ali, Dr. Deepti Sharma and Dr. Deepa Bisht. The five-day trip covered a visit to the Solang and Sissu snow valley, temples, Mall road and market area. The students also participated in various sports and adventure activities including river rafting, Zipline kayaking, etc. for fun, frolic, and rejuvenation. This trip helped the students rejuvenate themselves from their busy academic schedules.
An industrial visit was also planned for the students of UIM visited to Micro tuners Pvt Ltd. at Baddi on 1 April, 2023. Mr. Kuldeep Singh, Vice President, Micro tuners addressed the students with the manufacturing process, marketing, HR and Productivity. He has also motivated the students to join the company after completing the Program. He further appreciated the students of UIM for the interest and enthusiasm shown by them.
