UU Women Cell under the aegis of Women Cell of School of Liberal Arts organized a Poster Making Competition on the occasion of International Women's Day on 2nd March 2023. The topic of the event was DigitAll: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality. The event aimed to create a sense of gender equality with the help of innovation and technology in the advancing era. The event created an optimistic platform for everyone, as most adolescents, college students and young adults experience gender inequality in most of their surroundings. Students demonstrated their respective posters to highlight the role of technology in women’s empowerment. They highlighted the importance of technology and digital literacy which can help women make better decisions and have more negotiating power.
Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, Dean, SLA formally welcomed Ms. Arti Rana of UIT as a judge for the event. Sakshi Koli from BA Sem IV won the competition with her beautiful illustration of a New Woman embracing the use of technology. The event was organised by Dr Reeta Rautela and Ms Pragya Malla.
