Two
days International Conference on “Computational & Mathematical Methods in
Applied Sciences (CCMAS-2023)” is being organized by School of Applied and Life
Sciences, Uttaranchal University from 30-31 March 2023. The conference was
inaugurated by Honourable Chancellor Sri Jitender Joshi, Dr. R P Singh, Director
IIRS and Chief Guest, Vice President Prof. Satbir Singh Sehgal, Vice-Chancellor
Prof. Dharam Buddhi, Prof. Ajay Singh (Dean and convenor of the conference), Dr.
R C Ramola (Guest of Honour), Professor HNB Garhwal University, Prof. Rajesh
Bahuguna and Prof. V. K. Srivastava.
Prof
Ajay Singh (Dean of Sciences & Research) in his address briefed about the
objectives of the conference and how the mathematical and computational science
has revolutionized every aspect of life. He focussed on passion for research or
study to achieve something extra in career & life.
Prof
Dharam Buddhi (Vice Chancellor) in his address emphasized on importance of
interdisciplinary research to provide the solution to several issues concerned
to society and environment.
Prof.
R C Ramola in his talk emphasized how innovations and advancement in
computational/ statistical science have contributed to present era of
technology. Dr. R P Singh (Director IIRS and Chief Guest) in his talk
elaborated that mathematical science has acted to be the backbone of other scientific
studies. He also emphasized how keen observations can lead to outbreaking
research.
Key
note speakers Dr. Madhu Jain (Professor, IIT, Roorkee), Dr. Anita Tomar (Professor,
SDS University) delivered their talk on recent advancements in mathematical
science. Prof. Vinay Rishiwal in his talk emphasized in application of IOT in
enhancing agricultural productivity.
Prof.
Rakesh Dhama (Research Scientist) Tampere University, Finland, Prof. Rabie A.
Ramadan, University of Hail, UAE, Prof. Nilgun Sengoz, Akif Ersoy Univeristy,
Turkey, Prof. Hasan Dincer, Istanbul Medipol University, Istanbul are main
International Speakers in the Conference. On this occasion Souvenir (Abstract
Book) was also released, in which about 110 papers have been selected papers presented
in the conference will be published with Scopus/SCI Journals.
More
than 200 participants presented their research work in oral and poster
presentations. Abhishek Bhatt Department of Biochemistry, Amity University
Lucknow was awarded best paper presentation, Nitika Mehra Uttaranchal
University was awarded best oral presentation. Prinsha, Alisha & Sakshi
were the winner in poster presentations.
Valedictory
Session was conducted in afternoon of 31st March 2023 which was
presided Dr. Abhishek Joshi (Executive Director SA) & VC Prof. Dharam
Buddhi were main guest. They presented prizes to the winner. Valedictory
Session was conducted with cultural program (Garhwali dance, Punjabi dance,
Gujrati dance & others). Finally Vote of thanks was presented by Dr.
Nishesh Sharma to all members.
Prof. V. K. Srivastava (Co-Convenor), Prof Bharti Ramola, Prof. B S Rawat, Dr. Manoj Kumar, Dr. Shalu Chaudhary, Dr. Narinder Kumar, Dr. Vikas Kumar, Mr. Atma Nand, Dr. Ashish Rayal, Dr. Madhulika and Ms. Meenu were also present. The event was anchored by Dr. Nishesh Sharma, Dr. Sadhna Awasthi and Dr. Hemlata.
