Donation drives on campus are a wonderful way to help those in need and promote sustainable practices. The drive aims to collect gently used or new clothes from students, faculty, and staff on campus and donate them to people in need. The purpose of the cloth donation drive on campus is to encourage people to donate their old clothes, shoes, books, etc and provide them to the less fortunate. It also aims to promote the idea of reusing and recycling things, reducing waste, and conserving the environment. The donation drive on campus can be initiated by creating awareness among students, faculty, and staff. Posters, flyers, and emails can be used to inform everyone about the drive, its purpose, and how to donate. Donation boxes were placed in strategic locations on campus to collect the things. These boxes were labeled with the type of clothes that can be donated, such as men's, women's, or children's clothes. Then the collected clothes were then sorted, washed, ironed, and folded neatly. The Donation drive was scheduled from 24/03/2023 to 27/03/2023. The donation drive was done under the supervision of Mr. Awadhesh Chandramauli (HOD-Civil Engineering Department) and Mr. Ashish Pathani (Coordinator- Nirmaan Club). The donated clothes were distributed to the workers of the University and to the people of the nearby village of the University. All the members and coordinators had put in significant efforts to make this drive a success.
