A University level magazine called “UU Vritant” was launched by Pratyaksh, The Media Club, of the Uttaranchal School of Journalism and Mass Communication on 16th December, 2022.
The event was started with a welcome note delivered to the dignitaries of the university and Chief Guest Mr. Kunwar Raj Asthana, Editor Divya Himgiri Magazine. She said Pratyaksh will be used as a source of internal communication consisting of mostly creative content through which the family of Uttaranchal University can express their thoughts, opinions, feelings and ideas. It will also help in regaining the literary interest of people in reading.
Ms. Smriti Uniyal, Asstt. Professor, USJMC and the editor of magazine stated that UU Vritant is the form of internal communication material for the UU family wherein all the Schools, departments and parts of Uttaranchal University came together to express, emote, ideate, share and exchange emotions.
The event was graced by Shri Jitendra Joshi, Chancellor, Uttaranchal University, Dr. Satbir S. Sehgal, Vice President, Uttaranchal University. Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor, Uttaranchal University. Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rajesh Bahuguna, Director USJMC, Dr. Jitendra Kumar Sinha.
Assistant Professor USJMC, Ms. Roohi Quadri recited her poem “BETIYON SE HAI ZAMANA” during the ceremony. All USJMC faculty members and Students were present in the event.
