Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences organised free health cheek-up camp on the occasion of “ WORLD HEART DAY”

 

Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun under the banner of Pharmacology Club organized a free health Checkup Camp in Pt. Sureshanand Joshi Saraswati Vidya Mandir , Inter collage , Selaqui , Dehradun on the occasion of “WORLD HEART DAY” on 29/9/2022 . The Camp was conceptualized and conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Vikash Jakhmola (Dean, UIPS), Dr. Amit Semwal (HoD, UIPS) and Camp was coordinated by Dr. Ankit Sharma (Assistant Professor, UIPS) , Mrs. Pallavi Ghildiyal& Mrs. Nidhi Gairola and with Mr.Vikash kumar, Mr. Ayush Dangwal, Anand Raj, Itika Guleriya, Vikrant kumar, Samiulla, Marhaba, Chhoti kumari, Bhawna, Jyoti, Aditya chauhan, Aditya kumar, Abhishek chauhan, Kumar Gaurav as the student member of the Pharmacology Club.  According to the Dean of UIPS Dr.Vikash Jakhmola, The world heart day is conferred to spread awareness against Cardiovascular disease & to minimize the consequence happening by (C.V.D).Dr. Rishabh Joshi, MBBS and his renowned team attended the Camp. The overall health conditions of all the Villagers was checked up by the team of doctors. 

After checking, the doctor prescribed necessary medication, actions and precautions if needed to be taken. Beside health checkup, a Patient counselling and distribution of Medicine was also done by the Pharmacy Students of Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

In the camp 308 number of patient registered for the check up of chief complaints like Hypertension Diabetes, Common flu,  etc for which they are provided with the appropriate medicine as prescribed by the team of doctors. Apart from this Blood sugar, Blood Pressure & BMI of locals school children, was also checked by the pharmacy students of the university and also provided with basic counselling on ailments and use of medicines.

The event ends up in the evening with vote of thanks by co-ordinator of the school Mr. Hari Kishor Gaur, and the principal of the school Mr. Vinod Bhatt. They expressed their vote of thanks towards Honorable Chancellor Shri Jitender Joshi,  Vice president prof (Dr.) Satbir Sagal, Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof.( Dr.) Dharm Buddhi,  Dean of UIPS Prof(Dr.) Vikash Jakhmola, Event coordinators Dr. Ankit Sharma, Mrs. Pallavi Ghildiyal, Mrs. Nidhi Gairola (Assistant Professor, UIPS),  and Students of UIPS  for the successful organization of event.
