Globe Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management organised Swacchta Abhiyan, a cleanliness drive, at the Dehradun Railway Station on September 29, 2022 on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, The Drive Was Organised in association with Jai-Youth Wing Shri Nityanand Swami Jan Sewa Samiti Dehradun.
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan is one of India's most important and well-known missions which translate into Clean India Mission. The Indian government saw this campaign, which was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It was launched on October 2nd to honour Mahatma Gandhi's vision of a Clean India. It was an excellent initiative for raising public awareness about the importance of cleanliness. To fulfill the dream of our honourable prime minister and to create awareness through this drive The Swacchta Abhiyan was organised by the Globe Club.
The programme has decided to hold a clean-up campaign near the railway station because it is the biggest location for raising public awareness. The event began at 10 a.m. at Dehradun's railway station. In order to raise awareness, volunteers began a slogan march inside the railway station. The volunteers then cleaned the railway station and its surroundings so that others could do the same. All of the students pledged to clean up the city and to encourage others to do the same.
