Uttaranchal University organised a workshop on “Integrated Approach on Materials- Design Performance Life Cycle Management for Defence Application concept to development” on 9th April 2022
A workshop was organised by the Division of Research & Innovation to identify and undertake multidisciplinary research in the area of aerospace and drone technology. While addressing the audience Dr. Vikas Kumar, Chairman, Aeronautical Research & Development, Hyderabad stressed on developing the indigenous technology for defence to make the India “Aatm Nirbhar”.
The workshop was inaugurated by Chancellor Shri Jitendra Joshi, Dr. Vikas Kumar, Chairman, Aeronautical Research & Development, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Buddhi, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna and Director, Research & Innovation, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Singh. The event was hosted by Prof Anita Gehlot.
The Chancellor, Shri Jitender Joshi congratulated the team for taking a new initiative in the thrust area of research. The Vice-Chancellor announced the establishment of a centre of excellence in defence technology and requested Dr Vikas Kumar to be the advisor of the CoE. Dean, UIT, Prof. (Dr.) S. D. Pandey, Dean, SoA, Prof. M. P. Singh, HoDs and faculty members from the pharmacy, sciences, engineering and agriculture were present in the event.
