The Uttaranchal School of Hospitality and Hotel Management (USHHM), Uttaranchal University, organised an Essay Writing Competition on October 12, 2026, under the “Mere Sapno Ka Bharat – Viksit Bharat @2047” programme. The initiative aimed to encourage students to reflect on India's development journey, envision a progressive and inclusive nation, and explore their role in shaping the country's future.
The competition focused on themes including development works undertaken by the Central and State Governments, Viksit Bharat @2047 – My Contribution, and the Role of Youth in Nation Building. These themes provided a platform for students to express their ideas, perspectives, and aspirations concerning India's social, economic, educational, and infrastructural development.
The programme encouraged participants to develop critical thinking, strengthen their writing and analytical skills, and understand the importance of youth participation in achieving the national vision of a developed India by 2047, marking 100 years of India's independence.
Through this academic initiative, USHHM sought to promote civic awareness, responsible citizenship, and a spirit of innovation among students. The competition also provided an opportunity for participants to articulate how their individual efforts, professional competencies, and commitment to society could contribute to the nation's long-term development goals.
