Law College Dehradun organized “Deeksharambh - 2026” program from 5 to 13 August 2026, where the Gen Z students were extended a vibrant welcome by the management along with the faculty members of the College. The orientation at the central level got the students acquainted with the higher officials of the university and the various facilities available.
Prof. (Dr.) Poonam Rawat, Principal LCD commenced the event with a warm welcome to the students of the batch 2026.Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro VC and Dean in his first Official address proudly introduced the esteemed faculty members and highlighted the achievements and legacy of the college while welcoming them into the Silver Jubilee year of the college.
In pursuance, all the Societies of the college conducted their orientation and explained the induction process and their functioning. Following this, the students interacted with the Alumni, who motivated the freshers and offered a unique perspective on the legal profession. The library committee, during their session briefed on various online databases available and procedures to access them. ERP team explained the ERP management system of the University, its functionality, notifications, submission of assignments etc. Dr. Shilpa Arora, a distinguished Nutritionist, Wellness Expert, NDTV Health Author, conducted a session on holistic wellness, emphasizing the importance of a healthy living. Besides this session on Human Values and Professional Ethics, Cyber-wise campus on Digital safety, Research & Innovation, Awareness session on Drug -Free campus, Anti-ragging, Discipline, Awareness on Green campus, and various other cultural activities were organized.
The entire orientation program played a key role in helping the new students to get familiar and assimilate in the new environment while inculcating in them the ethos and culture of the institution. The entire program was smoothly coordinated by Prof. Dr. V. Bhuvaneswari and her team.
