In compliance with the UGC guidelines on "Mulya Pravah 2.0: Inculcation of Human Values and Professional Ethics in Higher Education Institutions", Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences, Uttaranchal University organized a Training Session on 19th June 2026 for teaching faculty members. The programme aimed to sensitize educators towards the importance of human values, ethical conduct, and professional responsibilities in higher education institutions.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Sameer Dev Sharma, HoD, USCS, who introduced the objectives of Mulya Pravah 2.0 and highlighted its significance in higher education. He also felicitated Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma, Director, USCS, as the distinguished resource person for the programme.
Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma conducted an insightful session highlighting the role of teachers as mentors, facilitators, and ethical leaders in shaping responsible citizens. She emphasized fostering a value based educational environment and maintaining integrity in teaching, evaluation, research, and knowledge dissemination.
The session focused on ethical conduct, professional accountability, inclusivity, social responsibility, environmental awareness, cultural preservation, and institutional values. Through practical examples and interactive discussions, faculty members reflected on their professional roles and responsibilities.
As part of the programme, faculty members participated in a Self-Rank Assessment Activity to evaluate their professional ethics, leadership, mentoring skills, and commitment to institutional values. The activity promoted self-reflection, identified areas for improvement, and supported the objectives of Mulya Pravah 2.0.
The event was successfully conducted by Ms. Manisha Saini and Ms. Manisha Khanduja, who efficiently coordinated the proceedings, ensuring the smooth execution of the programme. The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Ms. Divya Rawat, who expressed sincere gratitude to the distinguished guest, faculty members, participants, and the organizing team for their valuable contributions and support in making the programme a success.
