The Uttaranchal School of Hotel & Hospitality Management (USHHM), Uttaranchal University, successfully organized an Industrial Visit to Fairfield by Marriott, Dehradun on May 8, 2026. The initiative was part of the institution’s commitment to experiential learning and industry exposure for its undergraduate students.
The visit provided students with valuable insights into the operations of a leading international hotel brand. Participants observed and interacted with professionals across key departments including Front Office, Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, and Food Production. The hands-on exposure helped students understand the practical application of classroom concepts, modern hospitality practices, and customer service excellence.
During the program, Ms. Drishmeet Kaur, Learning & Development Executive, and Mr. Ryan John, Human Resources Manager, delivered an inspiring session to the students, sharing industry knowledge and motivating them to pursue excellence in hospitality careers. The visit was coordinated by Ms. Neha Minocha and Mr. Nitish Bhardwaj under the guidance and direction of Prof. (Dr.) Manish Badoni, Director USHHM.
Faculty members emphasized that such visits bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements. Students expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity, noting that the visit enhanced their understanding of hotel management operations.
