School of Agriculture, Uttaranchal University celebrated National Science Day on 28th February 2026. The programme commenced with Ganesh Vandana, followed by the inaugural address delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Sharad Pandey, Director, SOA, who highlighted the importance of National Science Day and motivated students to adopt a scientific approach in their day-to-day activities. Prof. (Dr.) Rajendra Prasad, HOD, SOA, also addressed the gathering and encouraged the students to actively participate in such academic and creative activities.
Students enthusiastically showcased their creativity and ideas through Poster Making and Reel Making competitions based on the theme of the day. The main event of the programme was the Poster Making and Reel Making competitions, in which students actively participated and demonstrated their creativity and innovative ideas. The participants presented engaging posters and reels highlighting the role of women in science and their contribution towards building a developed nation. The audience highly appreciated and applauded the creative posters and reels prepared by the students.
The Reel Making Competition was judged by Prof. (Dr.) Sharad Pandey, Director, SOA; Dr. Atin Kumar; and Er. Raja Joshi, while the Poster Making Competition was judged by Prof. (Dr.) Rajendra Prasad, HOD, SOA; Dr. Gaurav Jain; and Dr. Neha Saini. The programme concluded with the declaration of results, followed by the Vote of Thanks.
In the Reel Making Competition, Nishtha and team secured the First Position, and Vivek and team secured the Second Position. In the Poster Making Competition, Monika secured the First Position, while Priti and team secured the Second Position.
