The Prakriti Club of Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences, Uttaranchal University, in association with Nityanand Swami Jan Sewa Samiti, organized a Cloth Donation Drive on 31 Jan, 2026 near the slum area of Nanda Ki Chowki, Dehradun. The initiative received strong support from Mr. Vinayak Sharma Swami, President, Jai-Youth Wing, whose leadership and coordination played a key role in the smooth execution of the drive. The primary objective was to encourage sustainable living by collecting gently used clothes and distributing them to people in need. The drive provided winter relief to underprivileged families and fostered empathy and social responsibility among students and volunteers. On this occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma, Director USCS, appreciated the initiative and emphasized the importance of giving back to society. Under the guidance of Prof.(Dr.) Sameer Dev Sharma HoD-USCS the drive was successfully coordinated by Manisha Khanduja, Head – Prakriti Club, with the support of Mr. Aagman Kaparwan, Ms. Manisha Saini, Ms. Pallavi Raj, Mr. Ravinder Kumar and student volunteers.
