Dehradun, December 15, 2025- The Swami Vivekananda Auditorium at Uttaranchal University came alive with celebrations on December 15, 2025, as the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) hosted a grand event to showcase the University’s remarkable journey and achievements since receiving the NAAC A+ Grade in January 2022. The event aimed to bring together the University’s biggest stakeholders- its entire academic community- to celebrate progress, recognize collective effort, and inspire future excellence.
The gathering was attended by teaching and non-teaching staff, administrative officials, and technical and non-technical personnel, reflecting the unity and shared commitment of the University community. The celebrations were graced by President, Sh. Jitender Joshi, Vice President, Ms. Ankita Joshi, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dharam Buddhi, Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rajesh Bahuguna, Academic Directors, Principals of Schools, and senior administrative officials.
Director IQAC, Er. Rajesh Deorari, led the proceedings with a detailed PPT presentation tracing the University’s journey- from its inception as Law College Dehradun in 2002, to the establishment of Uttaranchal University in 2013, and its evolution into a nationally and globally recognized institution.
The presentation highlighted the University’s post-NAAC accomplishments, including:

- NIRF- 75th Position in Pharmacy, 2025

Following the IQAC presentation, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dharam Buddhi, addressed the faculty, highlighting current strengths and offering guidance for the upcoming 2nd Cycle of NAAC. The President and the Vice President also shared their vision and encouragement for sustained growth and excellence.
The event featured a cake-cutting ceremony and high tea, celebrating the collective efforts of all stakeholders. Special accolades were awarded to the IQAC team, including Director IQAC, Er. Rajesh Deorari, and Assistant Manager, Er. Sudhir Jugran, for their pivotal role in driving the University’s progress. The contributions of all faculty, IQAC members, and stakeholders were duly recognized for their dedication, teamwork, and unwavering commitment.
The program was compered by Assistant Professors Ms. Ritu Baluni and Ms. Malika Payal from the School of Liberal Arts, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Madhu Kirola, HoD, CSE, who also serves as the University’s Criterion 1 Head for NAAC.
This event marked not only a celebration of Uttaranchal University’s achievements but also a reaffirmation of its dedication to academic excellence, innovation, and global recognition, inspiring every member of its vibrant academic community to continue contributing to its journey of growth.
