Law College Dehradun, faculty of Uttaranchal University, under the initiative of the Department Internal Quality Assurance Cell (DIQAC), successfully organized the “IPR Workshop Series, 2025” with an expert session on the topic “Understanding Copyright Law in the Digital Age” on 10 October 2025. The session was delivered by Dr. Ratnesh Kumar Srivastava, who provided an in-depth understanding of the evolution and application of copyright law, especially in the context of digital transformations. Dr. Srivastava emphasized key challenges such as content ownership, digital piracy, AI-generated works, and fair use in the online space. Additionally, Ms. Apoorva spoke on “Trademark Law,” while Ms. Navya Ragunath discoursed on “Geographical Indication.”
The session encouraged students and faculty to explore the nuances of copyright protection in the rapidly evolving technological landscape and highlighted the importance of legal awareness for content creators, researchers, and professionals operating in the digital domain.
