Uttaranchal University Organized Hackathon for solving transdisciplinary problem statements

Uttaranchal University organized an internal hackathon on 13th September 2025 at the campus for students from transdisciplinary domains of the University. More than 700 students participated in the event and worked on problem statements provided by government agencies, PSUs, and state departments. 

The event was inaugurated by the President of Uttaranchal University, Shri Jitender Joshi, along with Vice Chancellor Prof. Dharam Buddhi, Director of Research & Innovation Prof. Rajesh Singh, Special Guest Prof. Surindra Suthar from Doon University, and Dr. Isha Ahuja Batra from Avlokan Transforming Minds, by lighting the ceremonial lamp.

In his inaugural address, Shri Jitender Joshi motivated the students to actively participate and come up with innovative solutions to real-world challenges. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dharam Buddhi addressed the gathering and emphasized the social impact of student-driven solutions on society. Prof. Rajesh Singh, Director of Research & Innovation, officially announced the commencement of the hackathon and highlighted its importance in fostering innovation among students.

The event was also graced by Director UIT, Prof. Sumit Chaudhary; Director USCS, Prof. Sonal Sharma; Director SLA, Prof. Shalini Vohra; Joint Director, Prof. Anita Gehlot; and esteemed jury members
