Uttaranchal Institute of Technology (UIT), under the aegis of Uttaranchal University, successfully hosted the AI Spotlight – AI Project Exhibition, organized by the University’s Computer Science Club (UU-CSC). The event commenced at 10:30 AM in the UIT Board Room and was designed to prepare students for the dynamic demands of the tech industry by providing them with practical exposure to emerging technologies. The exhibition was led by Mr. Abhishek Singh, an Artificial Intelligence expert from Infosys, who mentored students in developing AI-based projects and trained them in the use of advanced tools and technologies. He also shared valuable insights into automation, project management, and career readiness. Students presented a wide range of AI-driven projects, which were highly appreciated by the dignitaries present.
The program began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony graced by Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor, Mr. Abhishek Singh, AI Expert from Infosys, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Singh, Director DRI, Prof. (Dr.) Anita Gahlot, Joint Director DRI, Prof. (Dr.) Sumit Chaudhary, Director UIT, Dr. Madhu Kirola, Head CSE and Ms. Roosha Shamoon, Event & Club Coordinator. In his welcome address, Prof. (Dr.) Sumit Chaudhary emphasized the importance of keeping pace with industry trends and integrating them into academic learning. The projects presented were reviewed by the distinguished guests, who provided constructive feedback and encouraged the students for their innovative work. Their appreciation motivated the participants to continue exploring and implementing AI in practical domains. This exhibition was organized under the guidance of Faculty Coordinator Ms. Roosha Shamoon and the UU-CSC student team, the exhibition proved impactful by providing students with a clear roadmap for adopting AI aligned with industry needs. The exhibition received excellent feedback for its practical approach, and the team expressed gratitude to dignitaries, faculty for their valuable support.
