Uttaranchal Institute of Management Hosts Seminar on “Unlocking Career Opportunities in Government Jobs
The Competition Preparation Cell (CPC) of the Uttaranchal Institute of Management organized a seminar on “Unlocking Career Opportunities in Government Jobs” for MBA, B.Com, and BBA final-year students on September 12, 2025, at the UIM Seminar Hall. The event brought together respected faculty members, mentors, and government exam experts to guide students about various competitive examinations and how to work towards building a secure career with clarity and determination.
The program commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony by the esteemed guests, symbolizing knowledge and growth. This was followed by the university’s Kulgeet, fostering a sense of unity and belonging. The seminar was designed to be insightful and motivating, equipping students with strategies, guidance, and inspiration to prepare confidently for government job opportunities, while nurturing focus, determination, and clarity in their future endeavors.
Mr. Naveen Pathak, GS expert and Branch Manager at Mahendra Educational Pvt. Ltd., Dehradun, began the session with an inspiring reference to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, encouraging students to dream big. He elaborated on the structure of government job examinations, particularly banking exams such as CRP, RRB, SBI, RBI, and LIC. Following him, Mr. Anuj Kumar, a mathematics expert with over ten years of teaching experience, emphasized the crucial role of reasoning and mathematics in competitive exams. Concluding the session, Mr. Naveen Maurya, a reasoning expert with eight years of experience, spoke about post-COVID opportunities and explained the hierarchy of exams, including SSC CGL and Income Tax recruitment.
The session concluded with an interactive round conducted by Mr. Pathak, who rewarded active participants. The Vote of Thanks was then delivered by Dr. Mobin Anwar, after which the program ended with the National Anthem. The event was successfully organized under the guidance of Dr. Mohd Amir, Head of the CPC.
