The FinTech Club, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University, organised a session on the topic “Where money meets technology” on 25th September 2025, for the students of MBA & BCom programs. The guest, Mr. Ravi Singhal, Industry Expert - Director (International Business), ARGenie & Aerobott Co., India, and Project Manager, Osaju LLC, Zanzibar, Tanzania, was welcomed by Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM.
The session conducted by Mr. Ravi Singhal was truly insightful and engaging. He began by explaining the real meaning of FinTech, highlighting how finance and technology are closely interconnected in today’s world. He emphasized that continuous technology innovation is essential, as it not only supports growth but also helps businesses utilize their resources effectively to achieve maximum output. His examples made it clear how technology has become the backbone of modern financial systems and business operations.
Another key point he stressed was the importance of time management. He explained how managing time effectively and efficiently can make a huge difference in both personal and professional life.
Mr. Ravi Singhal also spoke about the right way to use debit and credit cards, something very relevant for everyone today. He explained the technologies that transform a simple debit card into a smart card, showcasing how India is moving toward adopting smarter, faster, and safer financial tools.
At the end, Ms. Sakshi Chamoli, Assistant Professor and Head of FinTech Club, extended gratitude through a vote of thanks, acknowledging the active participation and invaluable insights shared by the speaker and everyone present in the session.
