The School of Applied and Life Sciences (SALS) organised a workshop on Cyber Security, Tools & Techniques as part of Deeksharambh 2025, held from 20 to 27 August 2025 at the Seminar Hall, SALS Block. The inaugural session on 20 August commenced with the traditional Lamp Lighting Ceremony and a warm welcome to the dignitaries.
The distinguished guests of honour, Mr Gautam Kumar, Cybersecurity Expert, Hackie Infosec Pvt. Ltd. and Mr Abhinav Srivastava, Marketing Head, Hackie Infosec Pvt. Ltd., were felicitated with plant saplings as a token of respect and gratitude. Dr Ajay Singh, Director, SALS, delivered an inspiring inaugural address, emphasising the growing importance of cybersecurity in protecting the digital world.
The resource person, Mr Gautam Kumar, enriched the gathering with a thought-provoking introduction to the fundamentals of cybersecurity. The inaugural ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by the event coordinator, Mrs Pratibha Pandey, followed by the National Anthem.
Subsequent technical sessions were held at the Computer Centre, offering students hands-on exposure to cutting-edge tools, preventive strategies, and practical solutions to counter cyber threats. The workshop received enthusiastic participation and appreciation, marking a landmark initiative by SALS in advancing digital awareness, cyber safety, and future-ready competencies.
The week-long programme successfully concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants, recognising their active involvement and learning.
