The School of Agriculture (SOA), Uttaranchal University, organised a Poster Making Competition on the theme “मतदाता जागरूकता अभियान” under the aegis of the Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) and the National Service Scheme (NSS) on 28th August 2025.
Prof (Dr) Sharad Pandey, Director, SOA, appreciated this initiative and encouraged the students to actively participate in such programmes. He stated that these activities help young learners connect their academic knowledge with social awareness and civic duties.
Students of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture and M.Sc. Agriculture participated with enthusiasm, preparing posters on the importance of voting. Their posters conveyed clear and creative messages about ethical voting, the power of every vote, and the role of youth in strengthening democracy.
The competition gave students an opportunity to showcase their artistic talent while also learning about the value of responsible citizenship. The colourful and thoughtful posters reflected the awareness and concern of the younger generation towards a better future.
The programme was successfully organised under the guidance of Dr Gaurav Jain.
