Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS) conducted an industrial visit for students to India Glycols Limited as part of their academic learning programme to gain practical exposure to industrial operations and processes. The visit served as a valuable opportunity for students to witness the functioning of a leading industry and to understand the practical aspects of their theoretical knowledge. During the visit, students were given detailed insights into various manufacturing practices, advanced production technologies, and stringent quality control protocols followed by the company to ensure product safety and efficacy. Emphasis was also placed on workplace safety standards, regulatory compliance, and the sustainable and eco-friendly approaches adopted by India Glycols Limited, highlighting the company’s commitment to green chemistry and responsible manufacturing. The interaction with industry professionals enabled students to understand the dynamics of industrial operations, teamwork, and process management, thereby bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications. Furthermore, the visit provided exposure to the career prospects and skill requirements in the pharmaceutical industry, motivating students to align their academic learning with industry expectations.
