Law College Dehradun organizes Intra -College Sports Tournament of Law College Dehradun, organized its much-anticipated Intra-College Sports Tournament- “Navaarambh: A New Beginning Through Play”under the aegis of Sports Committee, from 13 to 25 August, 2025. The tournament, true to its name, aimed to foster camaraderie, sportsmanship, and a spirit of healthy competition among students. Over the span of two weeks, the campus came alive with the vibrant energy of sports enthusiasts competing across five diverse games — Chess, Carrom, Arm Wrestling, Table Tennis, and Tug of War.
The opening ceremony on 13th August witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of students, faculty members, and committee representatives. Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Uttaranchal University, Dean Law College Dehradun addressed the participants, emphasizing the importance of sports in developing leadership, resilience, and teamwork alongside academic excellence. Each event witnessed spirited participation. The Chess and Carom matches showcased strategic thinking and precision, while Table Tennis displayed agility and sharp reflexes. The Arm-Wrestling rounds drew large audiences, creating an electrifying environment of cheers and support. The Tug of War, a crowd favourite, concluded the tournament with an intense display of strength and unity.
The valedictory ceremony, held on 25th August 2025, was graced by Mr. Abhishek Joshi Sir, Executive Director, Student Affairs and IT, Uttaranchal University, as the chief guest. Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna Sir and Mr. Abhishek Joshi Sir appreciated the winners and participants, with medals and certificates. The event concluded on a high note, leaving an indelible mark of enthusiasm and encouraging greater participation in future sporting events. With Navaarambh 2025, Law College Dehradun once again reinforced its commitment to nurturing holistic growth, celebrating not just victories, but also the spirit of togetherness and sportsmanship that defines its student community.
