Uttaranchal University inaugurated ‘Alumni Talk Series – 2025, on 3 April 2025 by President, Shri Jitender Joshi as the Chief Guest and Ms Tanvi Garg, a former student of Law College Dehradun, Managing Director of Dubai’s renowned law firm ‘Convention-360’ and Icon of UAE awardee, as the keynote speaker of the program. The event marked the signing of an important agreement between Uttaranchal University and Convention-360, through which students pursuing law education at Law College Dehradun will be provided internship and placement opportunities in offices located at various places including Dubai.
Ms Ankita Joshi, Vice President of the University, congratulated Tanvi Garg on her extraordinary achievement. Mr Jitender Joshi congratulated Tanvi Garg for receiving the title of ‘Icon of UAE’. He said that the alumni network of the globally established university will become a true guide and source of inspiration for our students.
Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice- Chancellor, Uttaranchal University and Dean, Alumni Association said that in this year-long program, former students will teach the tricks of their success and besides these important agreements will be signed for the training and placement of students.
In her address, Tanvi Garg said that she completed her LL.B. from Law College Dehradun in the year 2010 and started understanding the working and possibilities of a law firm. Undoubtedly, she had to struggle a lot but finally she got the opportunity to establish her law firm 'Convention-360' in Dubai. Encouraged by her success on foreign soil, Tanvi Garg has also opened branches of her law firm in Sharjah, Abu Dhabi and Mumbai. There are immense possibilities of start-up in the field of law and that the education and culture acquired at Law College Dehradun became the best source of inspiration in her life.
