The Marketing and Simulation Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University, successfully organized the Marketing Mix Relay Race, a high-energy and intellectually stimulating event for management students on 03 April 2025 in the seminar Hall, UIM. The competition tested participants' strategic thinking, teamwork, and marketing acumen in a dynamic relay-style format.
The event began with a ceremonial lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by the University Kulgeet. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Pradeep Suri, Director of UIM, highlighted the importance of competitive events in fostering students' overall growth by making learning enjoyable and engaging.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from multiple teams, each comprising four members who navigated through various marketing-related challenges based on the 4Ps of Marketing – Product, Price, Place, and Promotion. Each stage of the relay required teams to complete tasks such as developing a quick product concept, setting competitive pricing strategies, identifying optimal distribution channels, and crafting innovative promotional campaigns.
The race was designed to simulate real-world marketing decision-making under pressure, pushing students to apply their classroom knowledge in a fast-paced, competitive setting. Judges, including esteemed faculty members of the institute, evaluated the teams on creativity, feasibility, and strategic execution.
After an intense battle of wit and agility, Team Shresth Vipnan emerged victorious, impressing the panel with their innovative approach and seamless teamwork. The runners-up, Team Marketing Dynamites, put up a commendable fight by showcasing strong analytical skills and persuasive marketing strategies.
Dr. Anil Singh Chauhan, Head of the Marketing and Simulation Club at UIM along with the team members Mr. Prasenjeet Samanta, Mr. Rajesh Pant and Mr. Devesh Chand made commendable efforts to ensure the grand success of this event.
