The Women Cell of School of Liberal Arts organized a Poster Making Competition on the topic, “Women and Men are Companions, not Competitors” on 09 April 2025. The session began with a warm welcome by Dr Anita Yadav to the students participating in this event. The event drew enthusiastic participation from students across disciplines who transformed the room into a vibrant gallery of colours, creativity and conviction. The event aimed to promote the values of equality, mutual respect, and collaboration between genders. The event emphasized that both women and men have unique strengths and roles that complement each other. Rather than competing, they should support and uplift one another to build a more inclusive and balanced society. It also encouraged participants to break stereotypes, challenge biases, and foster a culture of unity and partnership in all aspects of life.
An expert panel comprising Dr Reeta Rautela, HoD SLA; Dr Deepshikha Srivastava, Assistant Professor SLA and Ms Shikha Negi, Assistant Professor SLA, evaluated the entries on creativity, relevance to theme, aesthetic balance and communicative impact. After careful deliberation, the judges declared Sanskriti, BA English II semester, winner for her compelling artwork. Palak, BAJMC II Semester secured the Second Prize with a thought-provoking art, while Ananya, BA English II semester claimed the Third Prize for her dynamic portrayal of gender in her poster.
The event was duly coordinated by Dr Anita Yadav, Assistant Professor, SLA under the supervision of Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, Director, School of Liberal Arts.
