Insightful Interaction Session by Mr. Subhajit Bhattacharya, Associate Vice President-Innovation Principal, Accenture

Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences, Uttaranchal University organized an insightful Interaction with Industry Expert for its faculty members on 12th April 2025. The expert of the session was Mr. Subhajit Bhattacharya, Associate Vice President-Innovation Principal, Accenture. The primary objective of the session was to provide faculty members with industry insights and practical guidance on enhancing the academic curriculum to better align with current industry standards and future workforce requirements. 

Prof. (Dr.) Sonal Sharma extended a warm welcome to Mr. Subhajit, acknowledging his presence as a valuable opportunity for academic enrichment. She emphasized the importance of industry-academia collaboration in shaping future-ready professionals and expressed that the session would offer deep insights into emerging industry trends, inspiring faculty members to integrate these learnings into their academic practices. 

Mr. Subhajit shared valuable insights on current industry trends, future-ready skill sets, and the evolving expectations of recruiters. He noted that while students today are often coders, they need to evolve into true programmers by adopting a structured programming approach. He encouraged faculty to guide students beyond just writing code-towards understanding logic, design, and problem-solving. Python remains a widely used language in the industry; however, he also highlighted the importance of building a strong foundation by exploring Data Science concepts to deepen computational thinking and efficiency.
