The School of Agriculture at Uttaranchal University, Dehradun, organised a one-day educational visit to Abhinav Dairy Farm, Sahaspur, for B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture students on 28th November 2025. The visit aimed to familiarise students with organised dairy operations, fodder systems, and integrated farm practices.
The visit commenced with a briefing by Dr. B. K. Chaudhary, who provided an overview of the farm's history, establishment, developmental background, and management framework for routine dairy operations.
Students toured the different operational units, including milk storage and processing sections equipped with modern machinery for collection, filtration, chilling, and basic quality assessment. The visit offered insights into structured handling and processing methods in organised dairy systems. A tour of the fodder production areas and associated farm units provided exposure to fodder cultivation, livestock nutrition planning, and integration of nursery activities within a diversified production system.
The visit was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Gaurav Jain, Dr. Rachna Juyal, and Dr. Sandeep Kumar.
