The Department of Data Science, School of Applied and Life Sciences successfully organized a one-day workshop titled “Data Science for Everyone – Unlocking the Power of Data-Driven Decisions & Innovation” on 11th April 2025. The workshop aimed to introduce the fundamentals and real-world applications of data science to a broader audience, emphasizing the transformative impact of data-driven decision-making and innovation across various sectors.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh, Dean, School of Applied and Life Sciences, who delivered an insightful address highlighting the importance of data literacy across all disciplines and the critical role data science plays in strategic decision-making.
The keynote session, delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Singh, Director, Division of Research and Innovation, captivated the audience with his deep knowledge and engaging presentation on the power of data in shaping innovation networks. He discussed emerging trends in data science, including AI integration, ethical data use, and cross-disciplinary applications, making complex concepts accessible and inspiring for participants from diverse academic backgrounds.
