The Cultural Club (Jhankar) of the Uttaranchal School of Hotel & Hospitality Management (USHHM) successfully organized Holiyar 2025 on 7 March 2025, a vibrant celebration of Holi that brought together students, faculty, and esteemed guests. The event, themed "Good Wins Over Evil – Spreading Love and Respect," emphasized cultural values, harmony, and togetherness.
The distinguished guests present at this event included Mr Jitender Joshi, President, Uttaranchal University, Ms Ankita Joshi, Vice- President, Prof (Dr) Dharm Budhi, Vice- Chancellor and Dr Abhishek Joshi, Executive Director, Student Affairs & IT Services.
The celebration began with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by speeches highlighting the significance of Holi and its values. Cultural performances showcased traditional folk dances, musical acts, and a dramatization of the triumph of good over evil.
Students actively participated in a Rangoli-making competition, and an eco-friendly Holi awareness drive promoted sustainable festivities.
A major highlight was the culinary showcase, where students prepared and presented Jal Jeera, Pani Puri, Dahi Bhalla, Aloo Chaat, Chole Chaat, Papdi Chaat, Tikki, and Assorted Pakoras, demonstrating their culinary expertise.
Dr Manish Badoni Director of USHHM, extended his heartfelt vote of thanks to distinguished guests, the tireless event coordinators, and our enthusiastic students for their collective efforts in making this event a resounding success.
