Globe Club, Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM), Uttaranchal University organized a Rally on No Smoking Day and Anti-Drug Awareness Campaign on 12 March 2025 in association with Jai-Youth Wing and Shri Nityanand Swami Jan Sewa Samiti. The initiative aimed to sensitize students and the community about the severe health risks of smoking and substance abuse while fostering healthier lifestyle choices among the youth. 

The rally commenced from the UIM Building, officiated by Prof (Dr) Abhishek Joshi, Director, Student Affairs &IT Services, Uttaranchal University, Prof (Dr) Dharam Budhi, Vice Chancellor, Uttaranchal University, Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM, and Dr Tilottama Singh, HoD, Management, UIM. Faculty members and students enthusiastically participated in the rally carrying placards and raising slogans like "Say No to Smoking & Drugs – Yes to Life!" and "Choose Health, Choose Life!" The rally proceeded through the campus and surrounding areas, spreading awareness about the dangers of smoking and substance abuse. 

The event was successfully conducted under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Director, UIM, and Dr Tilottama Singh, HoD, Management. It was coordinated by Mr Rohit Dhiman, Head of Globe Club, with the dedicated efforts of Club members, Dr Preeti Tyagi, Dr Navnit Kumar Shukla, Ms Sakshi Chamoli, Dr Deepshi Garg, and Ms Sanjana Kaithwal. 

Reaffirming UIM’s commitment to social responsibility, the initiative played a crucial role in promoting awareness about a drug-free and healthier society. The initiative not only educated participants but also inspired them to be catalysts for positive change, promoting a healthier and addiction-free future.
