Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University, organized the 4th  International Conference on “Indigenous Knowledge System and Sustainable Development with Particular Reference to Natural Gems of Uttarakhand Himalayas” on 01-02 February 2025. The event was inaugurated by Mr Jitender Joshi, President, Ms Ankita Joshi, Vice-President, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Vice-Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice- Chancellor, Uttaranchal University and Prof (Dr) Vikash Jakhmola, Director, UIPS. All the dignitaries released the book of abstract The first day witnessed Prof Dulal Panda, Director, NIPER SAS Nagar, Mohali, Punjab as Chief Guest,  Dr Deependra Singh, Vice President, APTI Central Region, Chairman Education Regulation Committee (PCI) as guest of honour, and eminent speakers like Prof Akash Ved, Associate Dean & Nodal Officer, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. Eminent speakers were Prof (Dr) Nitin Sharma, Amity University, Noida, and Dr Vinod Tiwari, IIT BHU Varanasi.  

The chief guest on the second day of the event was Prof Ranjit Singh, Vice- Chancellor, Shobhit University. The Eminent speaker for technical session was Mr Abhishek Morris, GM Quality from Mankind Pharma. The Deans and Directors from various Universities have also joined the conference. The winners secured the position in the oral presentations (Offline mode), Mahima Singh, UIPS, Uttaranchal University (First), Dehradun, Komal Manwani, TMU, Moradabad (Second) and Teena Negi, UIPS, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun (Third). The winners secured the position in the oral presentations (Online mode) Parul Chauhan, Amity University (First), Devika C S, JSS college of Pharmacy (Second), Aadhya Pandey, Amrapali University (Third)Priya, UIPS, UU (First), Akash Samantha, SBS University (Second), ⁠Baroon Kumar, HIPR, Dehradun (Third) were recognized for their poster presentations. The two-day conference concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Dr Nidhi Gairola, HoD, UIPS.
