The Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences organized a series of knowledge-sharing sessions on MongoDB, delivered by Mr Praveen Shah, Assistant Professor, USCS and Mr Ashish Bhatt, Assistant Professor, USCS on the 13th, 14th, and 24th of January 2026. These sessions aimed to enhance the faculty members' expertise in modern database management systems and promote the integration of cutting-edge technology into academic curricula.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Director, USCS who encouraged all participants to enhance their knowledge through constructive and insightful discussions. The sessions covered key aspects of MongoDB, including its architecture, advantages over traditional relational databases, hands-on demonstrations on CRUD operations, indexing, and aggregation pipelines. Faculty members actively participated in discussions and practical exercises, deepening their understanding of NoSQL databases and their applications in real-world scenarios.
The presenters' engaging delivery and practical approach were widely appreciated, fostering a collaborative learning environment. The event concluded with a Q&A session, providing a platform to address queries and share experiences.
