Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University, in association with NSS Unit Uttaranchal University, organized a lecture on 30 November 2024 on World AIDS Day. The event aimed to educate participants about the critical issues surrounding HIV/AIDS and the importance of health rights. The speaker for the lecture on "Drug Addiction" was Mr Akhilesh Nautiyal, Assistant Professor, UIPS, Uttaranchal University. Mr. Nautiyal provided a comprehensive understanding of drug addiction, its impact on health, and preventive measures. Additionally, Mr Ayush Dangwal, Assistant Professor, UIPS, gave an insightful note on AIDS Day, emphasizing the significance of health rights and preventive measures. 

The session was highly engaging and witnessed active participation from students. The event concluded with an interactive discussion and a Q&A session, where students shared their thoughts and asked pertinent questions, further enriching the learning experience.  

The event was coordinated by Mr Abhishek Singh, Assistant Professor, UIPS and NSS Coordinator, UIPS under the supervision of Dr Nidhi Gairola, HoD, UIPS and the guidance of Prof (Dr) Vikash Jakhmola, Director, UIPS.
