Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University, organised a visit to the Herbal Garden at Forest Research Institute (FRI), Dehradun, for the students of D Pharm on 25 November 2024. The Visit aimed to enhance the students' knowledge of medicinal plants, biodiversity, and the sustainable use of herbal resources. The educational visit was also organised to encourage and educate students about the use of various medicinal plants, to identify the species of different herbal plants, and to understand the morphological characterization. It will help students to authenticate or identify various herbal plants and their biological sources, medicinal benefits etc.
The event was coordinated by Dr Nidhi Gairola, HoD, UIPS & Ms Shalini Kumari, Mr Ashish Singh Chauhan, Assistant Professor, UIPS, under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Vikash Jakhmola, Director, UIPS.
