On November 25, 2024, the School of Liberal Arts organised a fun- filled engaging event named "Media Maze" to celebrate 'World Journalism Day and National Television Day'. The event began with lamp-lighting by Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, Director, SLA, Dr Reeta Rautela, HOD, SLA and event coordinator Dr Sakshi Negi followed by the University kulgeet and other activities. The student coordinators felicitated the judges. The main objective of the event was to provide a platform for students to showcase their skills in various aspects of media and entertainment. It included various activities like RJ hunt, Ad warrior, Storytelling and Bollywood Quiz. The judges for the events were Ms Malika Payal & Ms Ishani Karki for RJ hunt; Mr Ashutosh Sharma for Ad warrior; Dr Deepak Bijalwan & Ms Ritu Baluni for Storytelling & Dr Sakshi Negi for Bollywood Quiz.
In the RJ hunt category, Anshul Negi stood victorious followed by Ankit Kadyan as a runner up. In the ad warrior, Kuldeep Singh Dariyal took away the winning trophy and Shaniya Raithwan emerged as the runner up. Ashutosh Rai was declared the winner of storytelling competition with Siddhi Chauhan as the runner up. A group of Manveen Kaur, Ankit Kadyan, Akash Gogoi and Lakshay won the Bollywood quiz. Winners of each event were awarded prizes, including trophies and certificates. The event was concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms Shikha Negi. Overall, the Media Maze was a resounding success, providing a platform for students to showcase their skills and talents. The event was well-organized, and the participants' enthusiasm and creativity made it an enjoyable and memorable experience.
