The Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun, organized a Quiz Competition on 16 September 2024 on World Ozone Day for B Pharm students in the UIPS Seminar Hall. The event aimed to raise awareness about protecting against the sun's harmful rays and the importance of the ozone layer in safeguarding our planet. Prof (Dr) Vikash Jakhmola, Director, UIPS, guided the event. A Quiz competition was also organized in 3 rounds. The winners of all 3 rounds were Himanko Gogoi, Janhvi Dubey, and Sanskriti Rai from B Pharm third year.
The outcome of World Ozone Day was to educate students about the depletion of the ozone layer and the actions needed to protect it, ensuring a safer future for upcoming generations. This initiative highlighted the critical role of the ozone layer in our lives. The event concluded with a Quiz Competition coordinated by Mr Ashish Singh Chauhan and Mr Krishna Kumar, in which a total of 100 students participated. The interactive session concluded with a vote of thanks.
