World Ozone Day 2024

On the occasion of World Ozone Day 2024, the 'Agri Eco Club' of the School of Agriculture (SOA), Uttaranchal University, Dehradun organized an engaging and educational Quiz Competition on 16 September 2024. The event took place at the School of Agriculture and aimed to raise awareness about the significance of the ozone layer and environmental protection.  The event was coordinated by Dr. Atin Kumar, the Coordinator of the Agri Eco Club, and Akshita Negi, the Student Coordinator, along with active participation from the club members. The event began with an insightful talk by Prof. (Dr.) Mahipal Singh, Director of the School of Agriculture, who shared his views on the importance of protecting the ozone layer. Dr. Rajendra Prasad, HoD, School of Agriculture, also contributed his thoughts on the occasion. The quiz competition saw enthusiastic participation, with students showcasing their knowledge of environmental conservation and the ozone layer. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Akshita Negi, and the smooth flow of the program was ensured by the event anchors, Nandini Arya and Shivali Bhandari. The winners were awarded prizes by Dr. Atin Kumar, the Agri Eco Club Coordinator. Special assistance was given by the Student Council of the School of Agriculture, represented by Prakhar Krishna, Dhairya Bhardwaj, and Govind Gautam.
