The Ganpati Mahotsav celebration at Uttaranchal College of Health Sciences on 07 September 2024, was a vibrant and joyous event, bringing students and faculty members together in a spirit of unity and devotion. The celebration commenced with a lamp lightening ceremony.
Following this, an enlightening speech was given by Ms Nitika Rana, student of BMLT III Semester, who highlighted Lord’s significance in Hindu mythology and symbolism of Lord Ganesha as the remover of obstacles, sharing stories from sacred texts that resonated deeply with the audience. The Ganpati idol, beautifully decorated by the students, was a symbol of creativity and devotion. Nityansh Kumar, student of BMRIT I Semester, performed Ganpati Vandana showcasing traditional Maharashtrian dance and spreading the festive cheer. The event also included interactive sessions, making it a memorable celebration for everyone present.
The traditional aarti was held with great devotion, followed by the distribution of prasad. With the passionate chanting of "Ganpati Bappa Morya," the ceremony came to an end, leaving everyone feeling incredibly fulfilled and united. Students and faculty members of UCHS came together for the Ganesh Mohotsav celebration, which promoted environmental awareness, cultural appreciation, and spiritual devotion. The event was coordinated by the faculty members under the guidance of Dr Kartikey, Joint Registrar and Director, UCHS.
