Law College Dehradun organized “Deeksharambh - Orientation & Induction” program from 12 August to 4 September 2024, where the new students were extended a warm welcome by the management along with the faculty members of Law College Dehradun. The orientation began with a brief inaugural ceremony and felicitation of the guest. The event at the central level got the students acquainted with the higher officials of the university and the resources available.
Prof (Dr) Poonam Rawat, Principal LCD commenced the event with a warm welcome to the students of batch 2024. Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro VC and Dean, LCD in his first Official address proudly introduced the esteemed faculty members and highlighted the achievements and legacy of the college which always strives to motivate and bring out the best in its students, and drive to push them beyond boundaries and explore the excellence within.
In pursuance, various Societies of the college conducted their orientation and explained the induction process and their functioning. Following this the students had interaction with the Alumni, who suggested making a strategic road map from the very first day. Sessions on alumni speak were organized where erudite personalities motivated the freshers and offered a unique perspective on the legal profession. The library committee during their session briefed on various online databases available and procedure to access it. The ERP team explained the ERP management system of the University, its functionality, notifications, submission of assignments etc.
The entire orientation program played a key role in helping the new students to get familiar and assimilate in the new environment, inculcate in them the ethos and culture of the institution, help them build bonds with other students and faculty members, and expose them to a sense of larger purpose and self-exploration.
