Law College Dehradun organizes 2nd Intramural Mediation Competition

 

The Law College Dehradun, faculty of Uttaranchal University organized 2nd Intramural Mediation Competition under the aegis of Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre. The event drew participation from 26 teams and unfolded across four distinct stages: Preliminary, Quarter-Final, Semi-Final, and Final Rounds, where the teams engaged in spirited competition to showcase their mediation skills. 

 
Preceding the competition, a mock demonstration and mediation training session were conducted by the executive members of the Centre. Subsequently, the preliminary, Quarter-Final, and Semi-Final rounds took place from April 16 to 18, where teams were evaluated by esteemed faculty members of the Law College Dehradun. Finally, on 24 April, the successful culmination of the competition occurred with Dr Abhishek Joshi, Executive Director, Uttaranchal University, gracing the final rounds as the guest of honor. The principal assessors for the final round were Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice- Chancellor, Dean, Law College Dehradun & Director of LCD-ADRC, and Prof (Dr) Poonam Rawat, Principal, Law College Dehradun & Deputy-Director of LCD-ADRC. 
 

Thereafter, winners of various awards were declared in the valedictory ceremony: 

1. Best Mediator- Indranshi, M-08 

2. Best Client- Khushi Bansal, TC-16 

3. Best Counsel- Krishna Negi, TC-07 

4. Runner-Up Mediator- Anjani Pathak, M-21 

5. Runner-Up Negotiating Pair- Drishti Garg & Somya Upadhyay, TC-22 

6. Winner Mediator- Khwaish, M-03 

7. Winner Negotiating Pair- Aditi Srivastav & Khushi Gupta, TC-25
