The Hospitality Club of USHHM, Uttaranchal University, successfully held a workshop named the "Safe Plates, Healthy Gates: A Community Journey in Food Safety and Hygiene with Hotel Management Leaders" on 22 April 2024, at Government Inter College, Pondha Village, Dehradun. It was spearheaded by Mr Surendra Singh Bhakuni and Mr Kamal Bisht, Assistant Professors with local community members to enhance knowledge on crucial food safety and hygiene practices. 

 

Interactive sessions and discussions provided deep insights into maintaining high food hygiene standards, crucial for health and preventing foodborne illnesses. The key achievements of the workshop included heightened community awareness, skill development in food safety practices, and strengthened community ties, showcasing Uttaranchal University's dedication to community well-being.  

 

The event also enabled Hotel Management students to apply academic theories practically and promoted collaborative learning among all participants. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mr Surendra Singh Bhakuni to the management of Government Inter College for their invaluable support.
