FINTECH CLUB, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University organized two days’ workshop on “Mastering the Art of Wealth Creation: A Comprehensive Workshop on Financial Investment Strategies, Securities Markets and Mutual Funds” on 19 and 20 March, 2024 for the students of MBA, BBA & B.Com. The Guest speaker of the event was Prof. (Dr.) Priya Aggarwal, Financial Markets Trainer, National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), Mumbai, Maharashtra.
The event was honored by the esteemed presence of Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri Dean, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Dr. Tilottama Singh, HOD, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University.
Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM highlighted the importance of earning from diverse sources and maintaining disciplined financial planning for wealth growth. Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Buddhi, Vice Chancellor, Uttaranchal University, highlighted some important facts with his gracious presence that we have the largest youth population in the world and if they are rightly and skillfully trained and managed as a human resource then the Indian economy can become one of the largest economies in the world.
The event was enriched by the insightful words of Guest speaker Prof. Dr. Priya Aggarwal whose extensive expertise has been instrumental in fostering the event. Day one of the NISM workshop encompassed an introductory session covering program outline-eight comprehensive session including importance of investment, financial investment opportunities, pre-requisites to invest in securities, primary and secondary markets, risk management, portfolio optimization and career in securities markets. The participation of over 800 academicians and students underscored the workshop's resounding success.
The second day of the NIMS workshop began with Dr. Priya Aggarwal emphasizing capital generation sources, including compounding, mutual funds, and the risks of equity and debt financing. Sessions covered financing best practices, equity, options, futures, NISM examination, and certifications.
The workshop concluded the vote of thanks proposed by Ms. Neeti Misra, Head Fintech Club, UIM.
