A special meeting with Gram Pradhan under Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA)

A special meeting was arranged by Uttaranchal University on 20th March 2024 in the IQAC Office with Gram Pradhan, Hariyawala Kala, Mrs. Rajni Devi, in commemoration of the International Day of Happiness. The meeting commenced with a greeting address from the Director IQAC, Er. Rajesh Deorari. The University UBA representatives extended their sincere appreciation to Mrs. Rajni Devi, Gram Pradhan, Hariyawala Kala, for her visit and collaboration. 

In the meeting, Mrs. Rajni Devi, Gram Pradhan, deliberated on the tasks and initiatives that the Panchayat intended to accomplish, including road maintenance and repair, sanitation efforts, and the establishment of a drug-free environment etc. The Gram Pradhan was assured by the University’s UBA Coordinator, Dr. Rajendra Prasad that the university would offer Gram Pradhan with every conceivable support.

The Director (IQAC) informed the Gram Pradhan during the meeting that, as part of the UBA Program, Uttaranchal University intends to offer specialized classes to economically challenged and meritorious students studying in the schools to better prepare them for the Sainik School and Navodaya Vidyalaya Entrance Exams. The UBA team's active participation in village development and awareness programs was acknowledged and appreciated by the Director (IQAC). Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the Head of Department, School of Agriculture and Nodal Coordinator, UBA, briefed the audience on the activities undertaken by UBA and emphasized how Panchayats, via Gram Sabha, can actively participate in the planning and decision-making process by involving all sects of villagers in the provision of means of subsistence.

The meeting was coordinated by Er. Rishi Dev Nautiyal, Assistant Manager (IQAC). The meeting was attended by Mrs. Rajni Devi with her counterpart, Gram Pradhan, Hariyawala Kala, Er. Sudhir Jugran, Assistant Manager (IQAC), Dr. Rajendra Prasad, University Coordinator, UBA, Mr. Dheeraj Bisht, Field Officer (UU), and other UBA members of the University.
