Guest Lecture on Innovation through Robotics was organised by Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences for the students of MCA on 01 March 2024. The distinguished guest speaker for the occasion was Mr Ravi Teja, Founder, TeJasya Innovative Solutions (TeJIS). The event's objective was to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration by highlighting how robotics intersects with fields such as engineering, computer science, healthcare, manufacturing, and more.
Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma encouraged students that Innovation is the cornerstone of progress, and robotics stands at the forefront of transformative technological advancements. Mr Ravi Teja brought a rich array of experience and insights to the event. He engaged the students with his profound knowledge of robotics. During the lecture, he emphasized the essential role of robots in society, highlighting their diverse applications and the necessity of artificial intelligence (AI). He discussed the practical reasons behind utilizing robots across various sectors and elucidated the advantages AI brings. He also talked on the possible negative aspects of new technologies, stressing the significance of having a comprehensive awareness of their effects.
The event was successfully coordinated under the guidance of Dr Sameer Dev Sharma, HoD USCS, by Mr Abhishek Pathak, Ms Manisha Saini and Ms Manisha Khanduja.
