The one-day educational visit to Anchal Dairy, Dehradun, organized by the School of Applied and Life Sciences on 22 February 2024 for the students of B Sc Microbiology, IV and VI Sem. The trip was organized by Dr Monika Singh as the trip coordinator, along with Dr Sonika Kalia. General manager of Anchal Dairy allowing us to explore several significant sections of Anchal dairy such as Milk processing unit, Paneer and whey production unit and well-established Microbiology lab. Each unit was well organized, and students delved various aspects of Microbiology and their uses in Industrial Microbiology and Food and dairy microbiology.
Additionally, students get a lot of knowledge about pasteurization and microbes related to the diary product, during the technical session organized by Chief Manager Mr. Sarvesh Mishra. These diverse experiences not only enriched our academic understanding but also fostered a deeper knowledge about industrially important microbial strains, inspiring our academic and professional endeavours in the field of Microbiology while deepening our understanding of microorganisms on industrial scale.
