Cultural Club, Uttaranchal institute of Management, UU organised the Folklore, International Cultural Diversity

 

With a vision of giving a shared platform to students coming out of their homes to live under the pleasant roof of Uttaranchal University and not only form regions of India like north-east, south India and many more regions of India, Uttaranchal University wants to make a safe environment for the students coming from different countries to experience education with exposure to world class facilities at Uttaranchal University.  

To make this vision possible UIM conducted an international forum themed cultural diversity named “Folklore” which represents all the different cultures and traditions all under the same roof.  

Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM and Dr Tilotamma Singh, HoD, UIM along with the Cultural club, UIM lead by Ms Sonakshi Bhatia, Head-Cultural and Academic affairs with the student coordinator Mr Sankalp, MBA student organized the event at the open arena Lamour Bakehouse to give exposure to students to interact with each other at ease.  

Shri Jitender Joshi, Chancellor, Uttaranchal University shared these moments with these students and gave them encouragement to be more open with themselves to get education at its best under the bright light of Uttaranchal University. Dr Suri emphasized over the importance of being able to share and express oneself to bring out the best version of oneself. 

The vision was hence succeeded in its aim bringing close these students to share their thoughts and experiences of being in the campus and talked about themselves, their country, language, culture, traditions. They also referred to the food similarity between Indian cuisines and theirs. With all the chit chats opportunities were given to these students to express their artistic side of theirs and performed rap and sang beautiful songs in their local, regional languages.
