Uttaranchal School of Hotel & Hospitality Management (USHHM) at Uttaranchal University recently hosted a festive Cake Mixing Ceremony, attended by esteemed dignitaries including Vice President Prof. (Dr.) Satbeer Sehgal, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Dharam Budhi, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, and Principal Mr. Manish Badoni. The vibrant participation of students from the Hotel Management department added zest to the event.
Principal Badoni initiated the ceremony, providing historical insights into its significance, tracing back to 17th-century Europe as the start of the Christmas season. Evolving into a symbol of unity and prosperity, the ritual transcends cultural boundaries. The ceremonial table hosted a diverse array of ingredients, each representing abundance and the flavors of life. Faculty, students, and dignitaries joyfully mixed these components, creating a rich concoction.
Vice President Sehgal and Vice Chancellor Budhi praised the students for fostering community through cultural events. Pro Vice Chancellor Bahuguna appreciated the inclusive nature of the ceremony, emphasizing the importance of traditions in uniting people in celebration. Chancellor Shri Jeetendra Joshi ji advocated for more such activities in the future.
